Jobcentre Plus services

There are different ways to use Jobcentre Plus services:

Phone Jobseekers Direct

• You can phone Jobseekers Direct on 0845 6060 234

Use their internet service

• You can use Jobcentre Plus on the internet - click www.JobcentrePlus.gov.uk

Use the job point machines

• You can visit the Jobcentre Plus office and use the job point machines.

You will then be put through to an adviser

Stay on the line. After a few moments you will be connected to an adviser.

If necessary, ask for an interpreter

If necessary, please ask for an interpreter. Usually a telephone interpreter is available but you may have to wait a few minutes.

You will be asked some questions

The adviser will then ask you some questions

What is your name and address?

For example:

• What is your name and address?

Do you have any disabilities?

• Do you have any disabilities that can affect the kind of work you can do?

What are your skills and qualifications?

• What skills and qualifications do you have?

You will hear a list of job vacancies

You will then be given a list of possible jobs over the phone.
