List of furniture (an 'inventory')

If the property you are renting is furnished, you should ask for an inventory of what the landlord has provided. It should list all the furniture and other items that your landlord has provided, and say what condition they are in. If you agree with the inventory, sign and date it. If your landlord does not have an inventory, you should draw one up and get it signed and dated by an independent witness – someone who is not a close relative or friend. Having an inventory can help you resolve disputes at the end of your tenancy.
